Program Opportunities

All of the following events are for Daisy Age Level Girl Scouts 5-6 years old and in Kindergarten or 1^st Grade. Troops, “Juliettes” (Independent registered girls) or In-School Girl Scouts may participate in any of these events. If more than one age level will be at a particular event, it is noted in the “For Whom” section of the event description.

Geyser Falls Girl Scout Day

August 25th or 26th, 2007

Enjoy a day at Geyser Falls with your family, or troop! You must use a Geyser Falls Day Registration form for this event. Registration forms are available online OR
you can call the Tupelo Office and we will fax or mail you a form!

Who: All Girl Scouts and their families from all over the state.
Where: Geyser Falls Water Park – Choctaw, MS
Time: 10:30am – 5:00pm
Cost: $12.00 admission/ $6.00 meal voucher

New Troop Day

October 27, 2007

New troops who register in 2007 are invited to attend an activity day at Camp Tik-A-Witha. This is a great “first visit” to the Girl Scout Camp in order to experience camp activities. We will offer games, arts and crafts, archery and canoeing. Bring a sack lunch. We will provide the drinks.

Time: Session I - 9:00am – 12:00noon   or   Session II - 1:00pm- 4:00 pm

Country Christmas

December 8, 2007
This Event has met maximum capacity and is closed to registrations

Come celebrate Christmas in the woods. We will sing Christmas carols, and have hot chocolate and sugar cookies. We’ll make old fashioned decorations for our country Christmas tree. Bring a present for camp to put under the tree.

Cookie Carnival

January 5, 2008

It’s a Cookie Carnival! Come and enjoy games, prizes, and lots of fun for girls of all ages! Bring the family or come with your troop! No admission fee, tickets are $1 for 4 and most activities and games are 2 tickets each. Pre-order your tickets for the discounted price of 5 for $1.00. All registered Girl Scouts (girl & adult) will receive a Cookie Rally patch for bringing an ink cartridge for recycling. Also, bring any used/like-new Girl Scout uniforms, shirts, books, and camp equipment to be auctioned at 3:00 p.m.
Register early – no drop offs.
All children must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or troop leader.

Songfest TAW!

January 26, 2008 – Enjoy a morning of songs and fun! Come to camp and learn all of those awesome camp songs you love to sing.
If you love to sing, then this is a day just for you. Girls will earn a participation patch.

Brownie 2B Camp

March 29, 2008

You have been a Daisy for several months. Now is the time to see what Brownie Girl Scouts is all about. Come to "Brownie 2B Camp" (Camp Tik-A-Witha) and see how much fun Brownie Girl Scouts can be. You will be able to complete your bridging requirements and participate in a special bridging ceremony. Bring a sack lunch and drink and be prepared to have some fun.

Teddy Bear Picnic

Bears, bears everywhere…only at the Teddy Bear Picnic! This is the event of the season! Daisies play games, sing songs and a lot of other g-r-e-a-t activities. Bring a sack lunch. Drinks will be provided.
