Opportunities
All of the following events are for Brownie Age Level Girl Scouts 6
- 8 years old and in 1st through 3rd Grades. Troops,
“Juliettes” (Independent registered girls) or In-School Girl Scouts
may participate in any of these events. If more than one age level will
be at a particular event, it is noted in the “For Whom” section of the
event description.

Kick It Off at Camp Mom & Me
August 18, 2007
Kick the year off right by attending the QSP/Candy Nut Sale Training for leaders at Camp Tik-A-Witha, and bring your daughter/daughters to enjoy swimming, canoeing, games and arts and crafts while you attend training.
You’ll both share lunch together in the dining hall.
Who: Troop Leaders or Product Sales Chairs and their Daughters

Time: 10:00am – 2:00pm
Cost: $5.00 per person for lunch

Geyser Falls Girl Scout Day
August 25th or 26th, 2007
Enjoy a day at Geyser Falls with your family, or troop! You must use a Geyser Falls Day Registration form for this event. Registration forms are available online OR
you can call the Tupelo Office and we will fax or mail you a form!
Who: All Girl Scouts and their families from all over the state.
Where: Geyser Falls Water Park – Choctaw, MS

Rainbows of Fun

A day filled with colorful crafts, exciting games, and action-filled songs. The girls will earn 2 Try-its: Playing Around the World and Friends are Fun.
Each girl will need to bring a sack lunch with a drink.

Early Bird Encampment
September 21-22, 2007
Come together for a Girl Scout Jamboree at Bonds Farm! (Next to Camp Tik-A-Witha) Those troops who participated in Spring Registration or Early Bird Registration are invited to attend this primitive campout. Troops will need to bring tents for camping. Friday night supper and Saturday breakfast, and lunch will be provided. Port-a-potties will be available. Troops do NOT need TCL training in order to attend. There will be games, swaps, a campfire and songs.
Who: Troops who registered early through Spring Registration or Early Bird Registration
Where: Bonds Farm, Chickasaw County – directions will be in the confirmation packets
Cost: $2.00 per person to off-set the cost of food.
Meals Included: Friday night supper and Saturday breakfast and lunch

New Troop Day

New troops who register in 2007 are invited to attend an activity day at Camp Tik-A-Witha. This is a great “first visit” to the Girl Scout Camp in order to experience camp activities. We will offer games, arts and crafts, archery and canoeing. Bring a sack lunch. We will provide the drinks.

The Charming Hunt

Come join the hunt for the camping charms. You’ll scavenger around camp to make your surprise. We will conclude the day with a SWAP.

Country Christmas

Come celebrate Christmas in the woods. We will sing Christmas carols, and have hot chocolate and sugar cookies. We’ll make old fashioned decorations for our country Christmas tree. Bring a present for camp to put under the tree.

Cookie Carnival
January 5, 2008
It’s a Cookie Carnival! Come and enjoy games, prizes, and lots of fun for girls of all ages! Bring the family or come with your troop! No admission fee, tickets are $1 for 4 and most activities and games are 2 tickets each. Pre-order your tickets for the discounted price of 5 for $1.00. All registered Girl Scouts (girl & adult) will receive a Cookie Rally patch for bringing an ink cartridge for recycling. Also, bring any used/like-new Girl Scout uniforms, shirts, books, and camp equipment to be auctioned at 3:00 p.m.
Register early – no drop offs.
All children must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or troop leader.

Learn about different kinds of puppets;

Brownie Day of Fun

Come have fun, play games, make crafts, make new friends, and earn 2 try-its! Explore the world of Brownies with the Cadette & Senior Girl members of Troop #40. Each girl will need to bring a sack lunch and drink, snacks will be provided. Leaders should bring a cooler for their troop. Leaders, remember to have the adult to girl ratio for events when attending; and Tag-a-longs are not allowed for this event. (Tag-a-longs are children under the age of 18 that are not registered Brownie Girl Scouts). Every girl will receive 2 Try-its (Manners & Let’s Pretend) and a t-shirt, and troop’s will receive a photo.

Fairy Myst Festival

Fun awaits the Brownies as Camp Tik-A-Witha turns into the land of the Fairies – campfires, singing, skits, hiking, and games are a part of what girls will experience. TCL is required for this event.
